From the Alps to the Adriatic
A guided motorcycle tour to Slovenia
Experience our unforgettable guided motorcycle tour from Switzerland to Slovenia – eight days, around 2,000 km of pure riding pleasure, breathtaking alpine passes, and countless impressions.
Our route takes you from the Swiss Alps through South Tyrol and the Dolomites, through Triglav National Park – along the emerald-green Soča River and its valley – down to the Slovenian Adriatic.
On this guided motorcycle tour through Slovenia, we combine spectacular panoramic roads, twisty passes, cultural highlights, and authentic experiences for passionate riders.
🛣️ Itinerary
We start in Central Switzerland, taking the first hairpins of the Central Alps and breathing in the crisp high-mountain air. In the Vinschgau Valley, apple orchards, historic villages, and wide views across the Adige Valley await us. To settle in, we enjoy hearty South Tyrolean cuisine – perfect after the first day on the passes.
Next, we ride into the Dolomites with their pale rocky peaks and green larch slopes. The Funes Valley captivates with postcard-perfect panoramas, before we discover the Roman ruins of Aguntum near Lienz, Austria. The day ends relaxed in Carinthia with regional specialties.
Clear as glass, streams and turquoise-colored water pools accompany us on the way to Triglav National Park. The Julian Alps show their most beautiful side – twisty and wild. In the afternoon, we reach Bled with its lake, castle, and island – probably Slovenia’s most iconic motif.
Over green hills and quiet monuments of the winter of 1942, our route leads south. The landscape changes – conifer forests give way to Mediterranean macchia, alpine pastures to coastal streets. In the evening, we stroll through Piran, enjoying the sea breeze and Istrian-Slovenian cuisine.
Today we ride through gentle truffle forests and taste fresh truffles before continuing through the picturesque Vipava Valley to the wine region of Goriška Brda. We end the day with a relaxed tasting at a local winery. Mediterranean lightness meets Slovenian joie de vivre.
We ride along the Slovenian Border Ridge Road, the little sister of the Ligurian Border Ridge Road. High above the Soča Valley, wide vistas open up before we descend into the valley. If accessible, the ride over the Mangart Panorama Road crowns the day.
We head north, enjoying classic high-Alpine roads with wide curves and glacier views. Flowing riding, panoramas, and pure mountain feeling accompany us all day. In the evening, traditional Tyrolean cuisine awaits after an eventful day on the bike.
For the finale, one more Alpine pass awaits with clear lines and perfect curves. The valleys open up, and the tour concludes in a relaxed manner. Traditionally, our journey ends at Lake Walen – currywurst stop and a view of the water included.
