👉 Detailed itinerary

Day 1 – Alpine Kick-Off into the Vinschgau Valley
We set off from Central Switzerland and head towards the first Alpine passes. Early on, it becomes clear what this journey is all about: crisp mountain air, beautiful curves, and impressive scenery. Crossing the Central Alps, we ride towards South Tyrol, where the landscape gradually changes and the Vinschgau Valley welcomes us with its apple orchards, historic villages, and wide views across the Adige Valley. After the first day on the passes, we enjoy hearty South Tyrolean cuisine and ease into the journey in a relaxed way. We stay overnight in a 4-star hotel right by the Adige River. The hotel’s spa area offers the perfect opportunity to unwind after a long day in the saddle.

Day 2 – Dolomite Vibes in the Villnöss Valley
After the Alpine opening, the route takes us deeper into the Dolomites. Bright rock faces, green slopes, and winding roads define the day, offering impressive views time and again. The Villnöss Valley in particular shows the Dolomites at their most beautiful, almost picture-perfect side. As the day continues, we ride towards East Tyrol and stop in Lienz to visit the Roman archaeological site of Aguntum. This stage combines scenic highlights with a fascinating historical insight. In the evening, we reach Carinthia, where we round off the day with regional specialities. For the night, we stay in a family-run B&B with a cosy atmosphere and plenty of charm.

Day 3 – Julian Alps and Bled
From Carinthia, we continue into Slovenia and the Triglav National Park. Crystal-clear streams, turquoise pools, and curving roads make this one of the scenic highlights of the tour. The Julian Alps reveal themselves here as wild, unspoilt, and especially impressive. In the afternoon, we arrive in Bled. The lake with its island, the castle perched high above the water, and the surrounding mountain scenery make it one of Slovenia’s most iconic sights. At Lake Bled, we stay overnight in a stylish 3-star boutique hotel. This historic property combines traditional charm with an excellent lakeside location.

Day 4 – Southbound to the Adriatic
After the Alpine scenery of the first travel days, the character of the tour now begins to change step by step. The route leads us south through green hills and quiet villages. Along the way, we also pass memorials recalling the events of the winter of 1942, adding further historical depth to this stage. As the day unfolds, the landscape becomes softer and more Mediterranean. Pine forests gradually give way to southern vegetation, and by evening we reach the Slovenian Adriatic coast. In Piran, we enjoy the special atmosphere of this coastal town, stroll through the old town, and end the day with Istrian-Slovenian cuisine. For the night, we stay in a 4-star hotel near the sea. Tonight’s shared dinner, excluding drinks, is already included.

Day 5 – Truffles & Wine in Goriška Brda
From the coast, the journey takes us back inland. The route passes through areas known for their truffles and reveals a quieter, gentler side of Slovenia. We continue through the Vipava Valley into the wine region of Goriška Brda. Rolling hills, vineyards, small villages, and sweeping views give this part of the trip an almost southern lightness. The evening is spent at a family-run winery, where we enjoy good food and a wine tasting. We stay overnight right on the estate in comfortable, tastefully furnished accommodation. Dinner and the tasting are included in the tour price.

Day 6 – The Slovenian Ridge Road and the Soča Valley
After the enjoyable stage through vineyards and rolling hills, one of the most exciting riding days of the tour now awaits. We ride along the Slovenian Ridge Road, which, with its elevated position above the Soča Valley and its wide panoramic views, offers a truly special experience. It is often described as the little sister of the Ligurian Border Ridge Road — and not without reason. From there, the route descends into the Soča Valley, where the emerald-green water shapes the landscape. If open, the Mangart panoramic road becomes the highlight of the day. It is one of the most impressive mountain roads in the region and once again offers spectacular views of the surrounding Alpine world. For the night, we stay in a luxurious 5-star hotel in the Italian region of Friuli Venezia Giulia. Its wellness and spa area provides the perfect setting to unwind after this intense day.

Day 7 – High Alpine Classics in Tyrol
Gradually, the journey turns north again. The route follows classic high Alpine roads with beautiful curves, marked changes in elevation, and impressive panoramas. Riding flow and mountain scenery once again take centre stage. Wide views, high Alpine landscapes, and the special feeling of a long, intense day in the mountains accompany us throughout. In the evening, we arrive in Tyrol, where hearty home-style cooking awaits. We stay overnight in a typical 3-star Tyrolean hotel with authentic Alpine comfort.

Day 8 – Heading Home with One Last Pass Feeling
To round off the tour, one more Alpine pass awaits, offering beautiful lines and satisfying curves. Even in the final kilometres, there is plenty of time to enjoy the ride consciously and reflect on the many impressions gathered throughout the journey. Traditionally, our Slovenia tour ends at Lake Walen. A shared currywurst stop with views over the water has almost become part of the ritual and provides a down-to-earth, fitting finale to this varied and memorable journey.
